Yemenia, the country's national airline, is based at Sana'a. Yemenia is the hub for domestic and international scheduled flights to Africa and the Middle East. After that, the airline moved its operations to Aden International Airport, where it continues to operate most of its services. Yemenia was granted permission to return to Sana's International Airport in February 2016. However, commercial services from Sana'a were not permitted until May 2022 due to conflict.

Yemenia has many destinations in northern Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Middle East. The airline used to have a network that extended to Europe, Asia, and further Africa.
