Viva Air Colombia, previously VivaColombia, is a Colombian low-cost airline that primarily offers domestic flights throughout Colombia but also flies to destinations in Peru and the US. The airline has airport hubs in Bogotá (BOG), Medellin (MDE) and Santa Marta (SMR) and flies to more than 10 destinations overall.
The airline launched in 2012, initially operating with only a domestic route network. Within two years of flying, the airline flew its first set of international flights between Medellin and Bogota to Panama City. This route was eventually discontinued and replaced with international services to Lima, Peru and, the airline's first intercontinental flight, to Miami.
Viva Air Colombia has one cabin class — Economy Class. The Economy cabin offers value for money, with a stripped-back service designed to get you from A to B safely and comfortably.
Within the Economy Class cabin, there are three different fares that passengers can purchase. Each fare gives different benefits:

Passengers can purchase food and drink when offered by the flight attendants once in-flight.

Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation and give the standard amount of seat pitch and width for the Airbus A330 aircraft.

Passengers can check-in for their Viva Air Colombia flight online through the Viva Air Colombia online check-in page. Online check-in can be completed by entering the confirmation number of the booking and the passenger last name. Check-in is open between 24–2 hours before flight departure time on domestic flights and 24–3 hours
Passengers can also check-in at the airport, however, airport check-in needs to be pre-purchased with the airline directly as an additional service and will cost a fee.
Viva Air Colombia allows all passengers on domestic and international flights one free handbag with a maximum weight of 10 kg. This baggage must not exceed the dimensions of 40 cm (101") x 35 cm (89" x 25 cm (63") and also must fit under the seat in front of each passenger.
In addition to this, passengers flying with the Combo++ fare are given an additional free 12 kg of carry-on baggage that can be stored in the overhead locker in the cabin. This baggage must not exceed the overall dimensions of 55 cm (21") x 45 cm (18") x 25 cm (10").
Those who don't purchase the Combo++ fare can purchase carry-on baggage separately at en extra cost.
Passengers that have purchased the Combo++ fare are given a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg. This baggage must not exceed the overall dimensions of 158 cm (62").
Those who don't purchase the Combo++ fare can purchase checked baggage at an extra cost.
All passengers must be at the boarding gate 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.
You're legally entitled to get compensation if the delay is the Viva Air Colombia responsibility and either: the replacement flight delays your arrival by 2 or more hours. Your Viva Air Colombia flight was canceled less than 14 days before departure.
