About Virgin Australia Airlines
Virgin Australia, the trading name of Virgin Australia Airlines Pty Ltd, is an airline based in Australia. It is the largest airline by fleet size to use the Virgin brand. Virgin Australia Airlines Check-in and Boarding Pass
Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure and you cannot check in your luggage after this time. We recommend that you check in with your luggage deposited at least 45 minutes before your scheduled departure time. If you're connecting to an international flight, traveling in a large group, or need additional assistance, we recommend checking in 60 minutes before your scheduled flight departure time. Baggage Policy and Fees
If you buy extra baggage and change your flight, your extra baggage will count towards those new flights. If you purchase extra baggage and cancel your flight, any fees paid for your extra baggage will be forfeited. Additional baggage charges will be refunded in the following circumstances: if you change your flight and we are unable to carry your additional baggage for operational reasons; if we cancel your flight and are unable to accommodate you elsewhere; If we can cancel your flight and re accommodate you, but we are unable to take your extra baggage on your new flight; o If you are entitled to a refund of your fare or baggage charges under the fare rules and/or the Australian Consumer Act
Pet Policy
All pets (except for approved service/assistance dogs) travel in the aircraft hold, which, like the aircraft cabin, is temperature controlled. Unfortunately, due to container restrictions, dogs and cats are only accepted for transport when accompanied by passengers. All other animals must be transported with an animal transport company
