About Venezolana 

Venezolana (originally RAVSA) is a Venezuelan airline which flies passengers to several cities in Venezuela. It has two hubs: La Chinita International Airport and Simon Bolivar International Airport. From these airports, it can fly domestically in Venezuela as well as internationally to beautiful Caribbean islands and Central America.

Venezolana was established in 2001 under RAVSA. The airline's first flight was not operated until 2007, however. It didn't fly its first flight until 2007. It flies to more than five destinations, with the most popular routes being between Caracas (Simon Bolivar), and Maracaibo ("La Chinita")

French created the first commercial airline to fly in Venezuela. Aeropostale was the name of this company and it was later bought by the Venezuelan Government. It is now Aeropostal Alas de Venezuela. Planespotters.net reports that Aeropostal currently owns two McDonnell Douglas MD-80s.

Pan American Airways and Mexicana de Aviacion created Avensa, a historic Venezuelan airline, in 1943. After a difficult bankruptcy process, Avensa was forced to stop flying in 2004.

 

Venezuelan investors founded the airline in 2001 under the name RAVSA (Rutas aereas Venezuela S.A.). However, operations were only started in 2007 under the brand Venezolana. Venezolana acquired a mix of McDonnell Douglas MD-80 and Boeing 737-200 aircraft over the years as it began operations.
