About Ultra Air
In November 2020, Aeronáutica Civil (which is Colombia’s aviation regulator) announced the launch of a new low-cost carrier in the country — Ultra Air S.A.S. Aeronáutica Civil also stated that the carrier will have a hub in Rionegro Antioquia, a small city in the Colombian Andes.
Ultra Air is being launched by William Shaw, a famous businessman in Colombia who has extensive experience in aviation, including being one of the founders of the Colombian ultra-low-cost carrier Viva Air, a former CEO of Flycana in the Dominican Republic, a former member of the board at Green Africa Airways, as well as CEO of Mexican carrier Interjet.
Ultra Air Classes
The airline has yet to make an announcement regarding what cabin classes (Economy, Premium, or Business, for example) will be available, as well as what the onboard experience will be like.

Domestic Destinations
Ultra Air has requested permission to operate 29 domestic routes and 15 international routes, although this has yet to be authorized by Aeronáutica Civil. The following is the domestic cities that the airline hopes to fly to:

- Santa Marta
- San Andrés
- Barranquilla
International Destinations
The airline hopes to fly to the following international destinations within South America:
- Mexico City, Mexico
- Cancún, Mexico
- Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
- Guayaquil, Ecuador
- Quito, Ecuador
- Lima, Peru
- Willemstad, Curazao
The airline has also requested to fly to one destination in the United States:

Airport Check-In
The airline has yet to publish an announcement regarding recommended check-in times. However, in most instances it is recommended that passengers arrive as early as possible, usually about 2 hours before scheduled departure.
