Thunder Airlines Airline Classes

One class of service is offered by the carrier

Thunder Airlines is a low-cost carrier that offers very competitive fares to our customers. We do not offer discounts for advanced bookings, senior fares, or child fares. For all group rates, bulk ticket sales, compassionate fares, please submit a request in writing to Thunder Airlines Reservations Department at reservations@thunderair.com. You will be contacted and given consideration.

Thunder Airlines Airlines Facilities

Thunder Airlines also offers a Land Medical Transfer Service in conjunction with its Air Ambulance service. This vehicle is a transfer-only vehicle that transports patients between Thunder Bay Airport and care facilities.

A trial was launched in 2015 to determine if it was possible to operate a patient transfer service between Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center (THBRC) and Thunder Bay Regional Airport. Patients transfer delays were becoming a significant concern. It was decided that the local Ambulance system should be expanded to meet these needs. This service has proven to be a great success in decreasing the patient transfer wait times.

Thunder Airlines Airline Policies

Baggage Policies and Fees

Any good or accessory that is needed or appropriate for the comfort, wear, or use of the passenger during the trip will be accepted by the carrier for transport as baggage.

1) Checked Baggage

If the baggage is delayed or the carrier determines it unsafe or impractical to transport the baggage on the aircraft, it will be carried with the passenger.

2) Unchecked Baggage

To be allowed onboard an aircraft, unchecked baggage must not exceed the airline's weight and size limits. Extra charges may apply if items exceed these limits.

The carrier will accept baggage that exceeds the allowance. At check-in, the excess baggage charge will be charged. The applicable per pound rate will apply to the passenger, as determined by the carrier's website.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Thunder Airlines will refund a passenger their ticket if they cancel or cancel a flight (and this is not necessary for safety reasons). The passenger will also be eligible to a $125 travel credit.
