About TAROM
TAROM, the flag carrier in Romania, has its headquarters at Henri Coanda International Airport OTP (OTP). It was founded in 1954 and developed with Romanian aviation. It is currently the biggest airline in Romania, based on international destinations and international flights. It also ranks second in terms of fleet size and passengers behind Blue Air, a smart flying carrier that is also based in Bucharest. In the past, Ten Airways were also based in Bucharest.
Since June 2010, the airline is a member of SkyTeam Alliance. TAROM has more than 50 destinations and codeshare partners. In 2018, the airline carried 2.75 million passengers.
Sky Team Alliance is the airline's member. It also has codeshare agreements (with Aegean Airlines), Aeroflot and Air Europa, Air France and Air Serbia (previously Jat Airways), Alitalia and Brussels Airlines), and with KLM Middle East Airlines, Czech Airlines and Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Economy Class
Many services are offered in Economy Class to ensure passengers have comfort and convenience. A variety of meals can be requested at least 12 hours prior to your flight. You also have the option of a wide range of beverages. Checking in online at least 30 hours prior to departure allows passengers to select a seat.
TAROM offers standard economy seats with good legroom to its passengers.
Business Class
Business Class passengers have more priority from check-in through delivery of your luggage to your destination. In the TAROM Business Lounge, you can relax in comfort prior to your flight. You will find a buffet, a bar, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to TV, computer, and PC.
Business class seats are comfortable and well cushioned.

Online check-in is open 30 hours before departure and closed one hour prior. Online check-in for flights departing from Brussels opens 24 hours prior to departure

Bagagge Policy
If you fly with an Airbus or Boeing aircraft, you are allowed to bring one piece of hand luggage. It must be no larger than 55cm x 40cmx20cm. The dimensions of the luggage you can bring to the cabin with ATR 42/ATR 72 aircrafts are 35cmx30cmx20cm (length, width, and height). Hand luggage can include a briefcase or purse, /video camera bag, and a laptop. These items are smaller than the ones listed below: 55cmx40cmx20cm, 35cmx30cmx20cm for ATR42/ATR72, respectively 35cmx30cmx20cmx20cm for ATR42/ATR 72. Hand baggage cannot exceed 10kg in weight.
Economy Class passengers can carry one piece of luggage up to 23kg, while Business Class passengers may bring three pieces with a maximum weight 23kg. The dimensions of checked baggage cannot exceed 158cm in height, width, and length.
Unaccompanied Minors
You can book the unaccompanied minor service if you wish to allow your child to travel on their own. Children under 5 years old cannot fly by themselves with TAROM. Unaccompanied children are those under 12 years old who travel with an adult in a different cabin class. Children between the ages of 12 and 18 years old will need to be considered unaccompanied minors. This treatment is only permitted upon the express request of the parent.
