About Summit Air 

Summit Air, a commuter airline, operates scheduled flights within Nepal. Its hub is located at Tribhuvan International Airport, KTM. In 2011, Goma Air was established. It was renamed Summit Air in March 2017. Summit Air is the sole airline that uses Nepalgunj Airport for its main hub and focuses exclusively on operations from this base. In 2014, the airline signed a partnership with Fishtail Air to promote Nepali tourism. After a 40-year gap, the airline is proud to be the first operator in Nepal that introduces factory new STOL Aircraft.

The airline's fleet consists of five turboprop aircraft, ranging from Cessnas to Let 410s. These aircraft can carry 72 passengers simultaneously.

Summit Air currently operates 13 regular scheduled flights within Nepal. These destinations include Nepalgunj and Bajura as well as Jumla, Jumla (Rara), Taplejung, and many other.

Airport Check In

Passengers will need to hand their boarding passes and their luggage to the airline upon arrival at the airport terminal. Checking in will take only a few moments. It is recommended that passengers arrive at least 90 minutes prior to their departure time. The check-in counter closes thirty minutes prior to departure. There will be crew members available to assist with the check-in process and boarding.

Baggage Policy

Summit Air passengers can carry 10kg per person. Additional baggage will be subject to the current excess baggage fee. It is not allowed to carry hazardous materials like flammables or compressed gases, batteries, or toxic substances. You may be denied loading if you aren't sure if you are taking the goods.

A maximum of 5kg is allowed per carry-on bag.
