Skytrans Airlines is an Australian owned and operated airline and air charter business based in Cairns. The airline operates RPT and charter services from Cairns, Horn Island, and Brisbane. After being placed in administration in January 2015, Skytrans returned to the skies on 31 March 2015.

The cabin is bright and spacious, and has air-conditioning and comfortable seating.

Although Economy is the only class available, there are many ticket fares that can be purchased. Although the flights are short-haul they do have water. A snack such as potato chips is usually offered.

Skytrans operates RPT and charter flights throughout the Cape York and Torres Strait regions.[8] Skytrans also provides charter flights out of Brisbane Airport for QGC.[9]

Check In Online
Check-in online opens 24 hours prior to the flight. You can access it via the airline site.
Online check-in is not possible for passengers who are travelling with special assistance, infants, or groups exceeding 10 people.
For a more seamless check-in, please bring your travel documents and your electronic ticket.
Airport Check In
If passengers are not travelling from Lockhart River, check-in at the airport closes 30 minutes prior to departure. Check-in closes 45 minutes before departure for Lockhart River.
Check-in must be done before the deadline. Passengers who fail to check in on time will be denied boarding by the airline.
To check in, you will need valid travel documents. These documents could include a passport or driver's license, birth certificate, or any other type of identification.
All checked baggage must not exceed 20kg in weight.
Excess baggage will incur an additional charge. However, individual bags weighing more than 32 kg will not be accepted by the airline because of Health and Safety regulations.
Pets such as cats, dogs and birds of the household (birds are not allowed on domestic flights) may be brought onboard for $125 each way. Travel outside of the United States is subject to a $200 fee.
Pets must be placed in a carrier box which fits under the front seat. Skytrans Airlines counts the carrier as one piece of carry-on luggage.

Skytrans Airlines' 24-hour cancellation policy allows passengers to cancel any Skytrans Airlines flight within 24 hours. Skytrans Airlines will refund your entire ticket price if you book a Skytrans Airlines flight less than a week before departure. Skytrans Airlines reserves the right to cancel any Skytrans Airlines flight within 24 hours.

Skytrans Airlines charges a $100-$500 cancellation fee for ticket cancellations made after the risk-free cancellation period of 24 hours. Skytrans Airlines will charge a $100-$400 cancellation fee if you cancel your Skytrans Airlines flight less than 24 hours before the flight is due to depart. After cancelling your flight ticket, you can also file a cancellation request.
