Scandinavian Airlines is more commonly known as SAS and is the flag carrier for Denmark, Norway and Sweden. SAS is an abbreviation of the company's full name, Scandinavian Airlines System or legally Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark-Norway-Sweden. The SAS Group's subsidiary, the airline is based in Solna (Sweden) at the SAS Frosundavik Building Office Building. It operates 180 aircraft to 90 destinations (as per December 2019). The main hub of the airline is located at Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport. It has connections to 109 countries around the globe. Stockholm Arlanda Airport has 106 destinations, making it the second-largest hub. Gardermoen Airport in Oslo is the third-largest hub. Flesland and Bergen Airport are other minor hubs. SAS Cargo is an independent subsidiary of Scandinavian Airlines and is located at Copenhagen Airport.
The airline was founded in 1946 as a consortium that combined transatlantic operations of Swedish airline Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik and Det Norske Luftfartselskap from Norway with Det Danske Luftfartselskab (Danish) The consortium was extended to include European and domestic cooperation two years later. In 1951, all the airlines were merged to form SAS. SAS has been described as "an icon of Norwegian-Swedish-Danish cooperation". The Norwegian government announced on 27 June 2018 that all of its SAS shares had been sold.

SAS offers a variety of travel classes aboard. You can choose between SAS Go or SAS Plus, and for flights to Asia, Canada, and the USA - SAS Business.
The main difference between travel classes is the level of service and comfort you get in your cabin.
SAS Plus and SAS Business travelers can get free WiFi at their destination. SAS Go passengers can purchase full access.
SAS flights offer complimentary coffee and tea, regardless of your travel class.
The time of day, your flight time and destination will determine the food and drink options available to you.
We do not offer onboard food or beverages on short flights due to operational reasons.

1 Is there any restriction on cabin baggage?
You can't carry more than 8kg or have a bag that is larger than 55x40x23 cm. Items on the list of prohibited items are not allowed. You are prohibited from bringing weapons, dangerous devices, sharp objects, or liquids that exceed 100ml.
2 Can I carry a TV with me as checked baggage or carry-on?
You cannot bring a TV as checked baggage or carry-on. Televisions are considered a more fragile item and must therefore be sent as freight.
3 Can I bring a stroller as cabin baggage?
You can bring an infant car seat, cot, or stroller if you are traveling with a toddler (0-2 years). However, the size and weight restrictions for cabin baggage must be met. Additional cabin baggage is not allowed.
