Olympic Air, a Greek airline, is a subsidiary to the Greek airline carrier Aegean Airlines. Combining Aegean Airlines with Olympic Air allows you to connect every corner of Greece. After the privatisation and reorganization of Olympic Airlines, the airline was established. The new airline began operations in September 2009. Aegean Airlines announced in October 2012 that it would acquire Olympic Air for EUR75million. The latter is now a service provider to parent company Aegean Airlines. The former CEO of Olympic Aviation founded Astra Airlines which is based in Thessaloniki International Airport.
The airline operates approximately 164 daily flights from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos to 34 Greek destinations using its fleet of DASH8 100 and DASH8 400.

Athens International Airport, which is located in Athens, is the principal international airport in Greece. The airport serves as the hub of Olympic Air. It has been one its three main hubs ever since it was launched. The other two are Thessaloniki International Airport (Rhodes International Airport) and Thessaloniki International Airport. Athens International has two terminals as well as two runways. Olympic Air mostly flies out of the Main Terminal. It handles more than 25 million passengers annually.
Olympic Air offers flights to Preveza and Ikaria, Sitia (Mykonos), Sitia (Sitia), Mykonos, Kefalonia via its domestic network. Olympic Air offers all Aegean Airlines flights for booking through its website. This network allows you to reach international cities such as Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Barcelona, and Beirut.
Online check-in is possible from up to 48 hours before departure. Please be aware that you must be at the boarding gate no less than 20 minutes prior to your flight's departure time. Your seat will be available to you once the departure time has passed.
You can check-in to all your connecting flights if you are flying with Olympic Air, as long as the first leg of your flight is operated by Olympic Air.

Only cats and dogs (guide dogs are also allowed, see "Service animals" below), can travel with you in an aircraft cabin.
One (1) pet (cat/dog) per passenger is allowed to travel in a cabin, provided it is kept within a container/box. A pet's combined weight with its container should not exceed eight (8) kilograms.
Reservations for pets/animals on flights are subject to priority because of the small number of animals/pets that can be accepted.
You must plan to bring more pets if you travel. They must be the same species, familiar with one another, and stored in the same container/box. You should not exceed eight (8) kilograms (includes container).
