About Niger Airlines

Nigeria Air was proposed as a flag carrier and airline in Nigeria. In 2018, the UK's Farnborough Air Show announced the new airline. Operation were initially scheduled to begin in December 2018. Two months later, Nigeria's Federal Government declared that Nigeria Air was suspended.

The Nigerian government announced that it would invest US$5million in the new airline before suspending the project. It also stated that the investment was intended to be a business venture and not a social venture. If the airline resumes, it will be privately owned.

Luggage policy

Handbag:
Niger Airlines allows one handbag with a maximum weight not exceeding 10 kg per passenger.
> This bag cannot exceed 76 cm in length, 38 cm in width, and 23 cm height.
> Please note that hand luggage must not exceed the weight and size of the checked baggage.

Checked baggage:
> Niger Airlines' checked-in bags policy is 20 kg for domestic passengers and 30 kg for international passengers.
> Please ensure that your personal details are recorded on every bag.

Exceeding weight: If the allowed weight is exceeded, a tariff surcharge will apply. Extra baggage will be charged CFA 3000 per Kg.

Pet policy

Niger will not quarantine dogs and cats that do not meet the following requirements. All requirements apply to emotional and service animals.

Pet Microchip

Niger doesn't require your pet to be microchipped, but it is recommended that you register your contact information and microchip your pet before you travel as an identification method in case your pet is lost or separated.If your pet doesn't have a registered microchip, ensure that your pet has tags that identify and provide contact information.Vaccinations.Before your pet can enter the country, they must have rabies vaccinations in place for between 30 and 12 months.
