About Max Air

Max Air, a Nigerian airline, is based in Kano (Nigeria). It operates scheduled passenger flights from its main hub at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, (KAN). It is one of Nigeria's most popular domestic airlines, with more than 10 destinations in Nigeria. Max Air also fly internationally to destinations in Saudi Arabia. It is the oldest international airline in the country, even though its network of international routes isn't extensive.

In 2008, the airline flew its first flight from Kano to Jeddah. Max Air was primarily focused on international flights within and outside Nigeria for its first ten years of operation. The airline started a variety of domestic routes in 2018, including Kano, Abuja, and Lagos. This launched a bigger plan to become the main domestic airline in Nigeria. The airline opened more domestic routes over the years. It now flys to all major destinations in Nigeria.

Economy Class

Max Air only offers one cabin class: the Economy Class cabin. Economy provides comfort and great value for passengers who want to travel from A to B at a low price and with minimal fuss.

Max Air Facilities

Max Air does not have any in-flight entertainment system. The airline may occasionally provide passengers with an inflight magazine, but this is not a standard practice for all flights. For entertainment, passengers are encouraged to bring along their electronic devices.

Mallam Aminu Kano Airport (KAN), is an international airport located in Kano, Nigeria. It also serves as the hub for Max Air. Since 2008, the airline has used Mallam Aminu Kano International to be its hub. It flew its first flight from the airport into Jeddah. There are two terminals at the airport, one for domestic and one for international flights. There are also two runways.

Max Air is a Nigerian airline that flies to most destinations. However, it also flies internationally. This includes Kano, Abuja and Bauchi, Lagos. Owerri, Yola. Jeddah. Madinah are some of the other destinations.

Max Air Check-In And Boarding Pass

Online check-in is possible through the Max Air website. Check-in online is available up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. To check in, passengers will need to provide their surname and booking reference.

Airport

Max Air passengers can also check in at the airport. You can do this by going to the airport check-in counter with your passport or any government-issued-ID for domestic flights, and your flight ticket.

Domestic flights: Check-in opens at least two hours prior to the flight departure time. It closes approximately 30 minutes before.

International flights have airport check-in openings at least four hours prior to scheduled departure times and closings at 70 minutes.

Baggage Policy And Fees

A free 8kg carry-on bag allowance is provided to passengers. This fee is included in the cost of your flight ticket.

A 20kg per person allowance is provided for checked baggage. This fee is included in the cost of your flight ticket. You can only bring one piece of checked baggage per passenger

To be able to bring their bag aboard a plane, if the baggage allowance is exceeded, passengers will need to pay an extra baggage fee.

Max Air reserves the right to refuse baggage that exceeds the safety requirements.

Pet Policy

It's not uncommon to fly with your dog in-cabin. Many airlines allow you to bring your dog along with you on board.

You don't have to take your dog with you if you are moving or going on vacation. You don't have to be concerned about your dog flying alone in the cabin.

Refund And Cancellation Policy

Once your booking has been confirmed, you cannot cancel it online. For cancellations, please call Max Air's reservations department (link to contact us section), or visit your nearest Max Air office. Cancellations may incur a penalty fee.
