About Lynx Air

Lynx Air is a Canadian ultra-low-cost carrier, legally incorporated as 1263343 Alberta Inc. It is based in Calgary. It was previously known as Ener jet. On November 16, 2021, Lynx Air was established. Lynx Air's first flight took place April 7, 2022. It flew from Calgary International Airport, to Vancouver International Airport.

The airline's meal service on board is not yet known. The airline plans to offer 'a la carte pricing' so customers can purchase the services they desire. The airline may offer the same pricing model for its inflight meals. A buy-on-board bar may charge an additional fee for snacks and drinks.

Lynx Air Check-in and boarding pass

Lynx Air provides online check-in services. Go to the airline's website and click on 'Check in' at the top. Enter your booking reference, surname, and then go to the next page. Continue to the next page for information about seat selection, API (Passport details), baggage info, and how to get your boarding passes. Drop your luggage at any of the check-in desks located at the airport.

At airport

Alternately, you can choose to check in at the airport on arrival. Head to any Lynx Air-branded desks for this option. According to the airline, you should arrive at check-in no less than 90 minutes before your departure time and get through security no later that 30 minute before takeoff. Lynx Air closes the check-in window 45 minutes prior to departure. Any passenger arriving at the gate less than 10 minutes before departure will not be allowed to board.

Baggage policy and Fees

Smart Bag

Smart luggage includes a power supply to charge devices. This power supply is usually a lithium-ion battery. If it's in an airplane's hold, it can cause a fire hazard. The battery must be removed if you wish to inspect a Smart Bag. The Smart Bag won't be allowed if the battery cannot be removed.

Carry-on baggage fees

One personal item can be brought onboard free of charge. It must be kept under your seat. Additional carry-on bags may be purchased for an additional fee.

Maximum size of personal item: 15cmx33cmx43cm (6' x 13' x 17")

Additional carry-on size limit: 23cmx40cmx55cm (9' x 15.75"x21.5")

Additional weight limit for carry-on: 10kg or 22lbs

Pet policy

To allow enough time for check-in at the Lynx check-in counter and approval of your kennel, we recommend that you arrive at the airport no less than 2 hours before your departure time.
Only certain animals are allowed into the cabin: Domesticated cats and dogs that are at least 8 months old.
When travelling with your pet, you may not be able to sit in the first row of an exit row.
Your pet must stay in the kennel during the flight for safety reasons. It is up to you to calm your pet if he/she becomes disruptive.
Although it may be tempting to comfort your pet while traveling, most veterinarians recommend against sedated pets as the effects of tranquilizers can be unpredictable on animals at higher altitudes.
While your pet is on an aircraft, we ask that you refrain from feeding or watering them. Your pet could feel uncomfortable due to the stress of travel, the aircraft's motion, or other factors.
You pet should be calm, non-disruptive, odorless and need no attention while flying.
If you're travelling with a cat and a traveler with severe allergies to cat dander is travelling on the same flight, you might need to be moved to the rear of the aircraft in order to comply with the Canadian Transportation Agency buffer zone requirement.

Cancel a Fly with Lynx Air

The following statements provide complete information about lynx airline flight cancellations.

The airline will not allow passengers to cancel their flight within 72 hours of boarding.
A travel voucher must be used within 12 months of booking a ticket. Otherwise, it will expire.
They can cancel a flight if it is cancelled within seven days of the departure date.
A travel voucher will be issued to the passenger if the flight is booked within seven days of the scheduled boarding date.
