About Lufthansa Cityline Airlines

The airline was founded in 1958 as Ostfriesische Lufttaxi (OLT)  and became Ostfriesische Lufttransport (OLT) in 1970, which existed  as an independent airline in Emden until 2013. On October 1, 1974, it was reorganized and renamed  DLT Luftverkehrsgesellschaft mbH  and began working with Lufthansa. 1978 with  international short-haul routes. In 1989 all operations were carried out on behalf of Lufthansa. In March 1992, DLT became a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa and was renamed Lufthansa  CityLine. As of December 31, 2011, Lufthansa CityLine had 2,332 employees, of whom 664 were cabin crew, 849  crew and 819  in  technical and administrative areas.Lufthansa ordered 30 Embraer E190/E195 and 15 Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft on 17 April 2007 as direct replacements for LH CityLine's fleet of BAe 146 and Avro RJ aircraft. The last Avro RJ85 took off from Cologne Bonn Airport on  August 27, 2012 as LH1985.
