Jetstar Airways Pty Ltd, trading as Jetstar, is an Australian low-cost (self-described "value-based")airline based in Melbourne. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas, which was formed in response to the Virgin Blue airline threat. Jetstar is part of Qantas' two-brand strategy, having Qantas Airways for the premium full-service market and Jetstar for the low-cost market. Jetstar carries 8.5% of all passengers traveling to and from Australia.[7]The airline operates an extensive domestic, regional and international network from its main base at Melbourne Airport and uses a mixed fleet of Airbus A320 Family and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Like its parent company Qantas, Jetstar competes with Virgin Australia.

Baggage Policy and Fees

Your checked and carry-on baggage allowance depends on the fares and packages you have selected for your trip. Remember that our most popular fares do not include checked bags, so we recommend adding bags when booking to get the best price. Otherwise, excess baggage fees may apply upon check-in at the airport. Oversized items count against your total checked baggage allowance, so make sure you buy enough checked baggage., an oversized item handling fee may apply, although there are exceptions such as B. Aids and strollers.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Customers are entitled to a refund in the following situations: 

• If we make a significant change to your scheduled flight time for a reason within our control. A significant change means a change in your scheduled departure time of at least three hours. 
• If we change your scheduled departure time by less than three hours for a reason within our control, but you are unable to use the reservation for its intended purpose and we are unable to book  an alternative flight  acceptable to you. 
• You are  due to commercial overbooking and you have a confirmed reservation.
