JetBlue is strict about the dimensions of your carry-on bag. This is not like weight. You could be fined and even have to pay more if your bag is too big. This is especially true for busy flights. The dimensions are necessary to ensure safety.

JetBlue, like most airlines has strict weight limits for bags before you pay an additional fee. Checked bags cannot exceed 62 inches in length and must weigh no more than 50 pounds, unless you are flying JetBlue Mint. In that case, the maximum weight of your bag is 70 pounds.

You can check in on jetblue.com if you have checked your bags up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure. You can proceed straight to the bag drop or ticket counter upon arrival at airport.

Checked Baggage Screening

Most checked baggage can be screened without the need to do a physical search. TSA Inspection Notices: During screening, TSA may inspect checked baggage. TSA may place a notice about baggage inspection in your bag if your property has been physically inspected.
