If you have baggage to check-in, please drop your baggage at the baggage counter no later than 60 minutes (International flight) prior or 30minites (Domestic flight) prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight. Baggage Policy and Fees

As for your cabin baggage, your checked luggage has strict limitations, unless you want to pay additional fees. Indeed your hold baggage must not exceed 203 cm cumulated (width + height + length) and the weight must not be above 23 kg each. When traveling with Japan Airlines, Carry-On Baggage allows you to travel with two bags, one must be a personal bag such as a handbag, small laptop bag etc. and the other must be within the dimensions of 55cm x 40m x 25cm. Please note that the combined weight of both bags must not exceed 10 kg. Note that the maximum number of checked baggage that is allowed per person for First Class and Business Class are 10 bags. For Premium Economy Class and Economy Class are 9 bags.

Pet Policies

Dogs and cats must be at least 8 weeks of age to travel. Pregnant pets will not be accepted. Pets must be in good health, should not cause harm to other animals or baggage, and should not have an offensive odor. Dogs and cats must be inspected by the Animal Quarantine Service upon arrival in Japan. Importers must apply for import inspection to the Animal Quarantine Service upon arrival in Japan. If no problems are found in the import inspection, we will issue an import quarantine certificate for the dog or cat.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

That depends completely on what fare type you have booked and whether or not you've booked a refundable Japan Airlines JAL ticket.

If you've purchased a basic economy Japan Airlines JAL ticket, you are not permitted to cancel the ticket for a refund after the 24-hour grace period from when your ticket was booked.

Note: The 24-hour grace period as per The Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC). When you book tickets from the United states.

If you have a non-refundable Japan Airlines JAL ticket you will be required to pay a few bucks domestic tickets and international ticket fees range from $200 to $500 (depending on the length of the flight. Afterward, you will receive the remainder of your fare, minus the fee, in the form of an e-Credit for use on a future Japan Airlines JAL flight.

If you have a Japan Airlines JAL refundable or flex ticket you can cancel anytime before the departure of your flight and you will be reimbursed on your original method of payment.Cancelling a Ticket Reservation or Purchase within 24 hours of Booking.
