Size Restrictions

• Personal: 18x14x8 inches (45.72x35.56x20.32 cm).
• Standard: 24x16x10 inches (60.96x40.64x25.4 cm) and no more than 35 pounds (15.88kg)

Lap Infant Carry-on Policy

• You can bring a diaper bag along with your carry-on allowance when you travel with a child.

Stroller Check Policy

• An stroller or car seat can be checked at the gate. This is free.

Frontier Checked Baggage Discount

All checked bags must be no more than 40 pounds (18kg) and have a maximum length of 62 inches (158cm). This pricing is for one-way flights.

Additional and Excess baggage Fees

Max weight per bag: <40 pounds
Overweight Fee:

• 40 to 50 Pounds: $50
• 50 to 100 Pounds: $100

Maximum linear dimensions per bag: 62 inches

Frontier Airlines won't accept bags that are heavier than 100 lbs or longer than 110 inches.

Waivers and Exclusions

FRONTIER miles Elite 20K, Elite 50K members get 1 free carry-on bag Elite 100K members get 1 free carry-on bag and 1 check bag.

Active-Duty Military

• 1 free personal item
• 1 Free carry-on bag
• 2 free checked bags

For the first two checked bags, overweight and oversize baggage fees will be waived.

Please note that U.S. military personnel are active-duty armed forces, reserve, and the national guard.

Keep these things in mind:

• This policy is only applicable to active-duty military passengers (not relatives or traveling companions). However, if an active-duty member only has one bag to check and their spouse only has one bag to check, both bags can technically be considered complimentary if they are checked under the active-duty member’s name. It will all depend on how generous the gate agent is.
• Online baggage addition is not possible. To avoid paying fees, you must check your baggage at an airport.

Can I prepay for baggage?

Frontier Airlines allows passengers to prepay their luggage online and via mobile app. This can save up to 50%

These are the methods you can prepay.

• Log in to the My Trip/Check In section of the Frontier Website. Click Add baggage.
• Log in to Frontier App and download it.

Carry-On Baggage

Frontier Airlines passengers can bring one piece of cabin baggage and one personal item onboard, including a briefcase or camera bag. You can fit your carry-on luggage under the seat or into the overhead bins of Frontier Airlines.

The combined dimensions of carry-on baggage must not exceed 114 cm in width, length, and height. This includes wheels and handles. Frontier Airlines has limited space for overhead compartments and under-seat space.

Baggage should not exceed Frontier Airlines' carry-on size limits.

Frontier Airlines passengers who travel on 50-seat flights or less can only carry one personal item.

CARRY-ON WEIGHT RETRICTIONS

Checked Baggage

Frontier Airlines allows a wide variety of sports equipment and special baggage to be carried on Frontier Airlines flights. Some items can be considered standard checked baggage due to their size.

Frontier Airlines - Bringing pets onboard

Domestic flights in the United States allow domestic pets such as dogs, cats, and house birds. They can be brought onboard for $125 each way to/from most destinations. Travel outside of the United States is subject to a $200 fee.

Pets must be placed in a carrier box which fits under the front seat. Frontier Airlines counts the carrier as one piece of carry-on luggage.

What is Frontier Airlines' (F9) charge for overweight baggage

Frontier Airlines (F9) will add the following charges to bags that weigh more than the standard 50 lb or 23 kilos:

• 75.00 USD additional per bag
• Bags over 100 pounds and 46 kilograms are not accepted as checked baggage/hold luggage.
