Colorado Springs is a home-rule municipality in Colorado. It is the county seat in El Paso County. It is the capital city of Colorado Springs, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as the second-most visible city of Front Range Urban Corridor. It is located in east Colorado, on Fountain Creek. This is about 70 miles (113km), south of Denver.

The Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum can be found in the El Paso County Courthouse. It was built in 1903. You'll find many exhibits about the past of the area, as well as Pikes Peak, and the surrounding areas. The museum is located in a park that features beautiful gardens, trees, granite fountains, and outdoor sculptures.
