FitsAir is an airline based in Sri Lanka. It mainly flies cargo services but also flies scheduled passenger flights within Sri Lanka. The airline operates a few domestic routes, with each connecting Ratmalana, Colombo with other destinations within Sri Lanka.

The airline is based at Ratmalana Airport and flies to 2 destinations — Jaffa and Batticaloa — multiple times a week.

FitsAir launched in 1997 and has gone by several names throughout that time. It launched as Expo Aviation, later changed its name to Expo Air and then, finally, changed its name to FitsAir, which is what it's known as today. The airline has always mainly be a cargo carrier. It flies cargo services all across Asia and even to some destinations in Europe, Africa and Oceania. Since it launched, it has flown scheduled passenger flights on and off. It most recently re-launched its scheduled passenger flights in 2020 and has maintained a small route network that Is focused on demand and where the people of Colombo want to fly.

FitsAir Classes

• Cabin Class

FitsAir flies a service for what It describes as the 'time conscious traveller'. It focuses on providing a safe and reliable way to fly, with little of the added extras. It flies with just one cabin — Economy Class.

• Economy Class

The Economy Class cabin is clean and comfortable. The airline has a professionally trained cabin crew onboard to assist you with anything that you might need throughout your flight.

FitsAir: Popular Destinations & Hubs

Although the airline flies to several international destinations as a cargo carrier, it only flies to a few destinations for scheduled passenger flights. These include Colombo, Batticaloa and Jaffna.

Check-In Information

Online

There's no online check-in. Check-in must be completed at the airport of departure.

Airport

Passengers must check-in at the airport of departure for their flight. To check-in, passengers must present their valid e-ticket and passport/national identity card to one of the airline check-in agents at the airport of departure. Check-in opens 60 minutes before departure and closes 30 minutes before. Failure to check-in before deadline closing may result in the refusal or boarding.

Baggage Allowance

FitsAir allows for a carry-on baggage allowance of 7 kg per person on all of its flights.

Checked

FitsAir doesn't offer a free checked baggage allowance on its flights. If you want checked baggage for your flight, you'll have to pre-purchase it online or buy it at check-in at the airport.
