Eastern Airways popular Destinations and Hubs

Eastern Airways provides fixed-wing services from Shetland to and from Aberdeen Airport, and Scatsta Airport. These flights are used by oil workers who work for the IAC consortium. Bristow Helicopters provides fixed-wing operations to Eastern Airways. Bristow Helicopters provide all ground handling and air transportation services. The contract with Bristow was extended in 2010 to 2015. Although the contract with Bristow has ended, Eastern will continue to provide fixed-wing services to Sumburgh airport.

Baggage policy and Fees

A standard cabin bag weighing up to 10kgs, measuring not more than 55cm by 35cm by 20cm (including wheels and handles) will be allowed.

Restricted storage on Jetstream 41 aircraft
Due to limited storage space, certain items of cabin baggage are not allowed onboard the Jetstream 41 aircraft. Only small items, such as a ladies handbag or portfolio folders A4 in size, will be allowed aboard. The majority of cabin baggage can be stored in the aircraft hold due to the small space available in the J41 cabin.

It is a good idea to take any valuable or fragile items off the plane. Toy guns, kitchen knives and spear guns, as well as knitting needles, scissors, and other sharp items such as nail clippers and tweezers, penknives, and swords are all prohibited in hand baggage. Hand baggage is not allowed to contain these items

Any baggage exceeding the weight restrictions will be subjected to excess baggage fees of PS10.00 per kilogram, per sector. We are unable accept baggage weighing over 32 kgs due to Health and Safety regulations. Our conditions of carriage apply to excess baggage. You can find more information about baggage, including those that are not acceptable, in our Conditions for Carriage or Carriers Regulations. Pet policy

Eastern Airlines accepts domestic small cats and dogs who have been vaccinated, are at least eight weeks of age and are contained in a pet carrier.
Passengers cannot travel with more than one pet.

All pets within the cabin must be transported in a pet carrier. The carrier must remain with the pet at all times, including head, tail and during boarding/deplaning as well as while the aircraft is in transit.

The carriers should be leakproof and well ventilated. Pets must be able stand and move about the carrier easily.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Any reservations made more than a week before departure of a flight may be cancelled. Basic Economy tickets can be modified for $100 per person plus the difference in fare. For the difference in fare, Economy and Premium Economy tickets can be changed. For a refund, premium and economy tickets can be cancelled.

Any applicable fare difference in the case of changes will be added to the change fee. Cancellations for Eastern Airlines flights are only valid for one year. You "no-show" your reservation if you don't cancel or change your flight before the scheduled departure.

If you have made a direct reservation, please email customersupport@easternairways.com from the email address used to make the booking along with passenger names, date of travel and flight details. We are unable to discuss details with you if your name is not included in the booking due to data protection

Eastern Airways does not issue paper tickets. Once your booking is confirmed, your ticket details will be stored electronically and known as an electronic ticket (a virtual, paperless tickets). A six-character booking reference will be provided to you. We recommend that you print this confirmation or take it with you to the airport.

It will depend on which type of ticket you purchased. Direct bookings can be accessed in Manage My Booking. However, there may be an additional fee. Please contact your travel agent if you haven't booked directly.

Check-in opens at 90 minutes before flight departure. It closes 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Domestic flights, except London Gatwick, are open 120 minutes before departure.

Online check-in is gradually being implemented across our network. You can access the online check-in tab from the homepage if this option is available for the route you are traveling on. You can also check in at the airport. Once completed, you will receive boarding passes and seat numbers.
