All aircraft have a gravel and ice strip for landing in remote areas. Many are also combination (combi), capable of carrying multiple passengers and cargo configurations.

Canadian North is the largest Canadian air carrier that serves Northern communities' cargo and travel needs. Over its extensive route network, which links 25 communities in Nunavut and Nunavik, Canada's Northwest Territories and Ottawa, Montreal and Edmonton, our scheduled service transports more than 350,000 passengers and 25 million kilograms freight and mail.
Canadian North offers bookings to destinations outside of our route network via interline agreements.
Canadian North customers can earn points in both Aurora Rewards and Aeroplan when they fly with us. Canadian North flights can be purchased using Aeroplan and Aurora Rewards points.

Canadian North allows passengers to do a Web Check-In before departure within 24 hours. Canadian North makes it easy to print your boarding passes and e-tickets. You can locate your flight itinerary by using your Canadian North ticket number or confirmation number, as well as your name and frequent flyer number. The easiest and most efficient way to check in for your Canadian North flight is online.
Canadian North Policies
Baggage policy
A Customer Service Agent will check your baggage at the airport and collect any additional fees.
Exceptions:
- Customers travelling with infants can check-in a bassinet or car seat; or a fully collapsible stroller, umbrella style or playpen at no extra charge.
Pet policy
Live animals may be carried onboard your flight in the cabin, or in the baggage compartment. Canadian North Reservations can be reached at 1-800-267-1247 for arrangements. Summit airlines do not permit pets in the Cargo holds. They are restricted to one medium dog, 35 lbs. The kennel height cannot exceed 26 ft.
Refund and cancellation policy
If a flight cancellation or flight is under our control (and is not required for safety reasons), and rebooking is not able to meet the passenger's travel requirements (e.g., there is no purpose to the travel), they will be entitled for a refund of their ticket as well compensation for inconvenience in $125.
