Are you wishing there were more things to do while you are flying? United Airlines has something for you if so. United Airlines is taking their in-flight entertainment to the next level with the expansion and enhancement of its United Private Screening entertainment program.

United will increase the number of HBO programs on flights and offer curated content only from Vevo. In addition, United will be offering personal device entertainment free of charge on two-cabin express regional planes.

Passenger can now watch a variety of movies while flying, including the Taken trilogy, Birdman, and Second-Best Exotic Marigold Hotels. You can also access popular TV shows such as Veep and Orange Is the New Black.

Are you a fan of a particular concert that you have missed? No worries! United's partnership to Vevo means it now offers music videos and concerts. United is the official airline of the Tribeca Film Festival. Film buffs can also check out the content curated by the festival.

United takes entertainment seriously

Travelers will have the option to view TV and movies on their aircraft's overhead screens, seat-back monitors, or from their own devices for free, depending on which type of aircraft they are flying. There are 200 aircraft equipped to stream free on-board streaming.

United views this as an opportunity to provide more entertainment for its customers and make travel more enjoyable. Scott Wilson, United's vice-president of merchandising, e-commerce, stated that no matter if customers travel for pleasure or business, United Private Screening will ensure they have access to entertainment, information, and relaxation content. "Our customers have more entertainment options in flight thanks to our ongoing expansion of personal entertainment and the addition of HBO and Vevo content."

Regional Jets Upgrade

United Express passengers who book regional flights using its Wi-Fi-equipped E170 and E175 aircraft can log in to access free streaming movies or TV series. These jets are currently in use, with 120 available. However, all Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft will be ready for service by August 13.

The second round of upgraded entertainment on personal devices follows the launch of United Express' premium cabin experience, which provides freshly prepared meals to passengers who fly at least 800 miles. These meals are served on chinaware, not trays.

United launched a pilot program in which passengers could rent tablets with 8.4-inch screens loaded with movies, games and TV shows. The tablets can be rented on flights between the U.S.A. and Honolulu as well as between Honolulu (Honolulu) and Guam.

Is your screen visible?

Many films have been edited to be suitable for airline use. Customer discretion is advised. Customers can also view their own content, provided they are able show that it has an MPAA rating less than "R". Be mindful of others around you. Please ensure that children are not able to view scenes with violence or other adult themes.
