What's going on at Terminal 4?

 

Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 will be modernized at $1.6 billion. It will have a single departure hall, a new south concourse, and additional space for holding rooms, concessions, and restrooms. A bus gate will also be built to serve international and domestic traffic. The Terminal 5 will see improvements to its north concourse.

What time should I arrive at LAX American Airlines?

 

American Airlines recommends you arrive at least 3 hours prior to your flight departure time for international flights. For domestic flights, you must arrive at least 2 hours prior to your flight departure time.

These suggested arrival times will allow you to check in with or without bags and clear security before you fly.

 

American Airlines LAX: Where can I park?

 

There is no LAX lot that only caters to American Airlines flyers. Parking is available at the LAX Airport in Central Terminal Area Parking and Economy Parking E.

From 4:30 a.m. until 12 a.m., passengers can check in at LAX American Airlines Terminal 4 for gates 40-49 or 110-159. Terminal 5 is open from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. Passengers can check-in for gates 50 to 59.

American Airlines offers TSA Precheck and mobile boarding passes, priority benefits, curb side check in, self-service check in, TDD assistance, TSA Precheck, and other services at LAX.

• Terminal 4's first floor is where you will find baggage and arrivals. The second level houses departures and ticketing options. American Airlines' boarding Gates are between 40 and 49.
• American Airlines Customer Service at departure promptly and politely assists passengers with ticket changes and reservations. They can also assist with delayed or cancelled flights, AAdvantage award travel receipts and refunds as well as baggage, trip insurance and special assistance.
• Smart Carts provides luggage carts at the arrival levels.
• Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 have Service Animal Relief Stations available for furry friends.
• If passengers need to transfer between terminals, they can walk airside through an overhead passage connecting terminals B (Tom Bradley), 4, 6, 7, and 8.
