About Bhutan Airlines
Tashi Air's trading name is Bhutan Airlines. Bhutan Airlines was originally launched as Tashi Air in 2011. It operated for six months before ceasing operations. They resumed operations in October 2013 as Tashi Air, but were renamed to Bhutan Airlines and started operating again.
Tashi Air, and Bhutan Airlines are owned by the Tashi Group. It was founded in 1959 by Dasho Urji.Bhutan Airlines operates its private flight schedule from Thimphu, Bhutan. It has regular flights to India, Thailand, and Nepal.

Paro Airport
Paro Airport is one among four airports in Bhutan, and the only one that offers international flights. Because of its picturesque location in the valley Paro Chhu, and the surrounding mountains, international flights cannot take-off or land at this airport.
The original airport was a small airstrip built in 1968. It was then extended and modernized in 1990. A terminal building was also built in 1999.

Bhutan Airlines has yet to offer web check-in or online check-in for its flights.
Airport Check In
Bhutan Airlines passengers will need to check in at the Airport before departing. The airline suggests that passengers arrive at the airport two hours prior to flight departure.
Check-in will be open three hours before departure. These desks will be closed 45 minutes before departure time.

Carry-on Baggage
Bhutan Airlines requires that carry-on baggage be no larger than 55x40x20cm and not heavier than 7kg.
A personal item such as a briefcase or laptop case is allowed in the carry-on bag.
Checked Baggage
Bhutan Airlines will allow checked baggage depending upon the flight route and class of the ticket purchased.
For most flights, Business Class is allowed to check 40kg, Premium Economy and Economy are allowed 30kg.
Passengers flying from Gaya - Paro are exempted from this restriction. Checked bags for this route must weigh less than 30kg in Business Class and less than 20 kg for Premium Economy or Economy Class.
Excess Baggage
Bhutan Airlines will charge baggage that exceeds the allowance in weight or dimensions.
Pet policy
- If properly crated, pets such as cats, dogs, or household birds, are accepted for carriage if they are accompanied with valid entry permits and health certificates.
- Accepted as baggage, the animal along with its container or food shall not be allowed to travel. However, it shall count as excess baggage and the passenger will have to pay the applicable rate.
- The normal allowance of baggage, which is subject to Carrier's Regulations, covers guide dogs that accompany sight- or hearing impaired passengers, as well as containers and food.
- The condition for acceptance of animal carriage is that the passenger takes full responsibility for the animal. The carrier is not liable for any injury, loss, delay, sickness, or death to such animal, or if it is denied entry into or passage through any country or state.
Refund and Cancellation Policy

Druk Air Ticket Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation of a ticket within 35 days of the date of travel is eligible for a 90% refund
A 75% refund is allowed for tickets cancelled between 15 and 34 days after the original travel date.
50% Refund allowed for tickets cancelled between 08-14 Days from the date of travel.
Tickets cancelled less than 8 days in advance will not be refunded
There is no refund for tickets rescheduled or penalty collected tickets.
