Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK), one of Bangkok's international airports, is also the hub airport for Bangkok Airways. The airport is equipped with two runways and can carry more than 60,000,000 passengers. The airport opened in September 2006. It is currently one of the top 15 busiest airports worldwide and among the top 10 busiest Asian airports.

Suvarnabhumi Airport serves as the main hub for Thai Airways International. Orient Thai Airlines and Jet Asia Airways are also present. Thai Smile and Thai Vietjet Air also operate from this airport. Other airlines that fly from this airport include El Al, Japan Airlines, Japan Airlines, Bhutan Airlines and Royal Jordanian.
