Check-In Information
Online Check In
Bahamasair allows you to check in online for your flights. Online check-in is possible if you have your travel information as well as passenger details.
Online check-in is recommended before arriving at the airport. It saves time and eliminates the need to wait in line. Once you have completed your online check in, you will be issued a boarding pass that allows for security and boarding.
Airport Check-in
Check-in for passengers who wish to board a flight must be done at least 2 hours before departure. This applies to international and domestic flights.
You can be refused to board if the airline finds you late to airport check-in. Please make sure to check in by the time scheduled.
Alternative Airlines advises you to arrive two hours early for domestic flights, and three hours before international departure for international flights. Always report directly to the airline checkin counters. The departure information board will show the designated check in area.

Domestic Destinations
Current scheduled flights to 32 regional destinations in the US, Cuba and Dominican Republic as well as Trinidad and Tobago and Turks and Caicos Islands and Bahamas.
Airlift to Grand Bahama from Nassau is currently available. There are currently international routes available from Florida: Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Miami and West Palm Beach. The Turks & Caicos, Havana and Cuba are two other international routes.

Baggage Allowance
Carry-on Baggage
Bahamasair permits one personal item. These two items must not exceed 55cmx35cmx22cm (22x14x9inches x 9inches) in combined size and weight. These two items can be used for domestic or international flights.
The carry-on bag cannot contain prohibited items. All carry-on luggage is subject to security checks at the airport, including any liquid exceeding 100mls.
Checked Baggage
Bahamas Air offers one free checked bag to passengers. The bag must measure 157cm (62in) when you combine the length, width, height dimensions. It must not weigh more than 32kg (50 lbs). Additional bags than the one free bag will be charged at a cost.
Book with Alternative Airlines to add excess baggage. Excess baggage can be added online for a fraction of the cost of buying it at an airport.

Baggage Policy
The maximum dimensions of a checked bag are 62 inches (157.48cm), 50 lbs (22.68kg), and length + breadth + width + height. Because of the frequency of flights, one (1) checked bag per passenger is allowed.
Pet Policy
Pets must not exceed 8 weeks of age. Carrier dimensions for pets should not exceed 10 x 15 x 14. Pet should be able stand, turn around, and lay down in the carrier. The cabin pet carrier can be included in the maximum number allowed, and the fee for one-way is $75.
Cancellation, Refund and Refund Policy
All tickets are non-refundable. There will be a 50% penalty for cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours in advance. All cancellations or changes made less than 24hrs before departure will incur a 100% penalty fee.
