Felix Francisco Pacheco founded the airline in 2015. The airline received its Air Operators Certificate the year it launched services. On all their services, the airline has a fleet consisting of 2 Boeing 737 200 aircraft. Aviatsa operates domestically only as of February 2022
Aviateca, now Avianca Guatemala is known. It is a subsidary to Avianca. The airline, originally Aerovias de Guatemala, was established in 1929. In 1945 it was nationalized and given the name Aviateca. It was owned by the government until 1989 when it joined TACA-organized Airline Alliance of Central America.
