Aviance Brazil Airlines
Avianca Brazil S.A. was also known as Ocean Air Linhas Aereas S/A (in Portuguese) and was a Brazilian airline. It was based in Congonhas Airport. Before cessation of operations, Avianca Brazil was cancelled by the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil. Avianca Brazil had 13.4% and 7.3% respectively of the domestic and international market shares from January 2018 through December 2018.
It was the fourth largest Brazilian airline in domestic and international traffic. Anac distributed the company slots (landings and take-off permits, as well as company slots) to other airlines. Anac raised R$555.3million via an auction held on July 10, 2019. However, this was not enough to pay Avianca’s R$2.7billion debt. Avianca's bankruptcy was not declared.
