Ariana Afghan Airlines, the national carrier in Afghanistan, is Ariana Afghan Airlines. The airline is based in Kabul International Airport (KBL), and offers mainly domestic flights. It also flies international flights. The airline currently flies to over 10 destinations.
Ariana Afghan Airlines was established in 1955. It is the oldest and largest airline in Afghanistan. It has been connecting Afghanistan with many other countries, including London, Frankfurt and Rome. In recent years, however, the airline was forced to cut back on international flights and now focuses primarily on domestic flights as well as flights to India, Russia Turkey, China and Pakistan.
The airline is also known as Kam Air. Both airlines offer similar services and fly the same routes.

Pet Policy
- The pet's weight (including the cage) must not exceed 7 kg.
- Adult passengers may bring one pet in the cabin, and two pets as checked baggage. Children cannot travel with pets in the cabin. Only 1 bird is allowed per cage.
- If the pet's weight exceeds that of the cabin baggage requirements, pets can be carried as checked baggage.
- It is not possible to transport pets that are pregnant, have foul smelling pets, or dogs that attack other animals, as well as birds of prey, and dogs that are aggressive.
