About Air Zimbabwe
Air Zimbabwe is the national carrier of Zimbabwe. It is based at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, Harare International Airport (IATA: HRE).
Air Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is the full name of the airline. It currently operates mostly domestic and regional flights within Zimbabwe.
Air Zimbabwe was founded as Air Rhodesia Corporation in 1967. It was officially renamed Air Zimbabwe in April 1980. After the airline's renaming, it began expanding its international operations. This included flights to London Gatwick, (LGW). The airline was forced to close its doors in February 2012 due to financial difficulties. However, it resumed operations temporarily in November 2012 after a temporary halt in December 2012.
Air Zimbabwe is an entirely government-owned company and has been a member of IATA since 1981.

Economy Class
This airline offers economy class, which is basic and comfortable. The cabin crew will greet you and assist with any questions that may arise during your flight.
Business Class
Air Zimbabwe does not offer a business class, however they do offer a business fare that allows for a premium experience. These include a larger baggage allowance, priority check in and access to the Business Class Lounge at certain airports.

To confirm their booking, passengers must contact the airline within 72 hours. This is a vital step as the airline will cancel a passenger's flight reservation if they fail to confirm.

Airport Check in
To obtain their boarding passes, passengers must check in at the airport. You must arrive at the airport in sufficient time to check-in and avoid being denied entry.
Domestic flights should be checked in at least one hour before departure.

Each passenger is allowed to bring one piece of cabin baggage onboard their flight. This item can only weigh 8kg and must not exceed 51x20x38cm in dimensions.
Passenger are allowed to bring one personal item. These items can include coats, walking sticks and cameras as well as laptops, cameras, laptops and ladies handbags.
Domestic flights: Economy class passengers can check 20kg of luggage free of charge, while business passengers can carry 30kg.
